Santa Claus is coming to town and bringing his carriage and some snow with him. The Hammond Downtown Development District will host this festive annual after-hours shopping and holiday activities event, which kicks off at 6pm at La Carreta when the holiday music begins and Santa Claus rides in on a horse drawn carriage. Children are welcome to follow Santa to the Kid Zone, located on North Cypress Street, where there will be holiday fun for all ages. Snow will be in the streets for children to play. The Louisiana Children’s Discovery Center will have free controlled admission, giving children the chance to play in the center, write letters to Santa, enjoy cookies and milk, and have their Christmas photo taken with Santa Claus.
