This inaugural fundraising event of the Safe Haven Foundation to fund construction of the Family Promise Day Center will take place at Fontainebleau State Park, and will feature live entertainment by Four Unplugged and The Prescriptions. Seafood is provided by Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board, including shrimp, catfish, and crawfish (prepared by Geaux Creole), as well as jambalaya by Patton’s Caterers, with a sno-ball truck for cool treats. Family activities will include:
- Canoeing and kayaking by Canoe & Trail Adventures
- Inflatables
- Miniature horses from Quinn-Tate Farms
- Face painting by Fontainebleau High School art students
- Pick-a-Duck by Trinity Counseling Center, LLC in Mandeville
- Squad car tours from the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office
- Fire truck tours, equipment demonstrations and handouts from the St. Tammany Parish Fire Department.
