The event kicks off at 11am with a parade through town starting at the Maritime Museum and ending at the Riverfront in front of Town Hall, where there will be a tribute to veterans. Families, groups, bands and kids with decorated bikes are welcome to participate in the parade. Other highlights include festival food, a watermelon eating contest, a DJ, games (tug of war, sack races), a horseshoe tournament, and the Miss Madisonville Beauty Pageant for girls ages 4-10.
