A crew of 30 volunteers is needed from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. that will target litter clean up on Lake Road. Lake Road on Big Branch Marsh National Wildlife Refuge is the most visited public use site on any of the eight refuges in Southeast Louisiana. Nearly 100,000 people annually use this area for fishing, wildlife observation, the free boat launch, and recreational crabbing. To thank volunteers, the Friends will host a picnic lunch for participants and each volunteer will receive a free t-shirt. Beach Sweep is an excellent avenue for stewardship, education, and outreach. https://www.fws.gov/refuge/big_branch_marsh/
